  Great food. Good ale. Friendly staff. 10 minute walk from the Premier Inn. Much better than the Beefeater attached to the hotel. Great find.

  Recent refurbishment and new landlords have turned this local around. Good food, guest ales, a roaring fire and friendly bar staff... what more can you ask for. Great stop off or target location when walking and dog friendly (in the bar)

  Very unhelpful staff with bad attitude. Where has the community spirit gone which this small pub always had. NO ONE goes in there now as to the expensive prices of wine £7 a glass and beer gone up 25p and no Malabu and Southern Comfort and no Strongbow. No Quiz. no Jukebox allowed and no telly for football. Community pub. What a joke.
